ODIN SAILING  PANAMA Espagnol  Français  Nederlands

Escondido is a small authentic Indian village accessible over the water through the mangroves. The local Indians survive on fishing and some farming like producing a bit of cacao. Others paddle every day to Isla Colon in their small cayuco. A Panamanian cayuco is a special kind of canoe carved from the trunk of a tree. They live in a typical wooden pile dwelling.
Escondido has a little school that educates the smallest. The other kids go to Isla Colón by boat.
